These terms govern your use of the website [www.altafawkjenin.co.uk], operated by Friends of Al Tafawk, a volunteer group that raises funds and awareness for the Al Tafawk Children's Centre in Jenin, Palestine. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About this website
This website exists to share updates about the Al Tafawk Children's Centre and its work, to invite donations for the centre, and to share ways for people to get involved in supporting children in Jenin. It is an informational and fundraising website, not a commercial one, and nothing on it is an offer of professional services of any kind.
2. Donations
Donations are voluntary contributions to support the centre's work. This website does not collect donations itself: when you choose to donate, you are taken to our fundraising page on Chuffed, an independent crowdfunding platform, and the donation itself takes place there. Please note:
Your donation, payment details, and any receipt are handled by Chuffed under their own terms and privacy policy, which you will find on their site. We encourage you to read them before donating.
Donation amounts are chosen by you. A description on the site of what a given amount can do (for example, "covers a week of meals") illustrates our costs; unless a page expressly says otherwise, donations go to the centre's general work where they are most needed, and we may direct funds where the need is greatest.
If you wish to correct or refund a donation made in error, please contact us at altafawkjenin@gmail.com as soon as possible and we will help; because the payment is processed by Chuffed, any refund is also subject to their own refund arrangements, and funds already spent on the centre's work may not be recoverable. We will always try to resolve any concern fairly.
Friends of Al Tafawk is a volunteer group, not the centre itself. Donations may or may not be tax-deductible in your country; please consult a tax adviser in your own jurisdiction.
3. Content and its accuracy
We work hard to keep information on this site accurate and up to date, but we provide it for general information only, without guarantees of completeness or accuracy. Updates, figures, and descriptions of our activities reflect the situation as best we know it at the time of writing. If you rely on any information on this site, or act on it, you do so at your own discretion.
Personal stories and photographs are published with the consent of those involved, and with particular care for the children at our centre. They must not be copied or redistributed further.
4. Photographs and children
Photographs and stories of children on this site are published only with the written consent of their parents or guardians, and without details that would allow strangers to identify them. You may not copy, download, republish, or share images of children from this website. If you have any concern about an image, contact us at altafawkjenin@gmail.com and we will take it seriously and act quickly.
5. Ownership and use of site content
All content on this website, including text, photographs, and design, belongs to Friends of Al Tafawk or is used with permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages, and to quote brief passages for the purpose of telling others about the centre's work, with attribution. You may not reproduce substantial parts of the site, use our content commercially, or use it in a way that suggests we endorse you or any product, without our written permission.
